Turkey Links on a Stick
8 (6 to 8-inch) sturdy bamboo skewers 1 lb. ground turkey or beef 1/4 cup dry Italian bread crumbs 1 Tablespoon ketchup 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Heat grill. Soak bamboo skewers in water at least 30 minutes.
In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients mix gently. Shape 1/4 cup of mixture into 4-inch link, insert skewer. Repeat with remaining turkey mixture and skewers.
WHEN READY TO BARBECUE: Oil grill rack. Place links on gas grill over medium-low heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 9 to 13 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once.
Serve the links on the skewers or remove the skewers and serve links on hot dog buns, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
Meat mixture may also be formed into 4 patties. Grill as directed above.
BROILER METHOD: Prepare recipe as directed above. Place links on grilled broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat 9 to 13 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once.
