FLORENTINE STRATA

8 ounces barilla spaghetti or linguine
1 (26 ounce) jar barilla roasted garlic and onion pasta sauce, divided use
1 (12 ounce) package frozen spinach souffle, thawed
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided use
1/4 cup (1 ounce) grated parmesan cheese, divided use

Cook spaghetti according to package directions until partially done but still firm, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain.

Meanwhile, coat microwave-safe 13x9x2-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Pour 1 1/2 cups pasta sauce into baking dish; top with half of drained spaghetti, half of spinach souffle, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and 2 tablespoons Parmesan. Repeat layers of spaghetti, pasta sauce and cheeses.

Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH, turning every 4 minutes, until strata is bubbly and cheese is melted, 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand 3 minutes before serving.

CHEF'S NOTE:
When preparing pasta that will be used in a casserole, it's important to reduce the suggested cooking time on the package by about one third. The pasta will continue to cook and absorb liquid while the casserole is cooking.

Makes 8 servings
