MUSHROOM CASSEROLE
32 oz. canned mushrooms, drained or use fresh mushrooms 2 tbsp. finely chopped onion 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. bread crumbs 2 tsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. light cream 1/2 c. shredded American cheese
Saute mushrooms with onion and butter for 5 minutes, until tender. Add crumbs, cook 2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Place in baking dish. Pour cream around mushrooms.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Top with cheese and continue baking 8-10 minutes, until cheese melts.
Serves 8-12.
