20 MINUTE PROSCIUTTO SAUCE

1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 slices prosciutto, chopped
4 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
4 tablespoons grated cheese

In a medium saucepan, saute the onion in the oil over medium heat until golden brown.

Add the chopped prosciutto and basil, then salt and pepper to taste. Add tomatoes, then simmer for 20 minutes.

Great over mostacciolli or angel hair spaghetti. Add your favorite meatballs, sprinkle with grated cheese, and you're ready.
