BARBECUE MEATLOAF1 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 egg
1 cup Open Pit Barbecue or Smoky Barbecue Sauce, divided use
1/2 cup water
Mix bread crumbs and milk. Then add ground beef, onion, salt, egg, and 1/2 cup barbecue sauce; mix well. Shape into a loaf in a lightly greased shallow baking dish.
Combine remaining barbecue sauce and the 1/2 cup water. Pour about 1/4 cup of the mixture over the meat loaf.
Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F) 1 hour, basting frequently with sauce.
