STAR-KIST LAYERED TUNA1 (8-oz.) pkg. noodles, uncooked 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup sliced onions 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 (10 1/2-oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, drained 1 (6 oz.) can Star-Kist Chunk Style Tuna, drained 1/4 teaspoon thyme (or other herb seasoning) 2/3 cup crushed potato chips Cook noodles in boiling salted water for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain. Saute onion and green pepper in butter or margarine; set aside. Add salt and pepper to soup; set aside. In greased 2-quart casserole, put half the noodles. Cover with half of mushroom soup, half of onion mixture, half of tomatoes and half of tuna. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with herb seasoning and crushed potato chips.
