PORK AND PEPPERONI PIZZA BURGERS
1 pound lean ground pork 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni (about 2 ounces)* 1/2 cup Italian-style dry bread crumbs 1/2 cup prepared pizza sauce 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded pizza cheese 6 hamburger buns
In a medium bowl, stir together ground pork, pepperoni, bread crumbs, pizza sauce and oregano. Shape mixture into 6 patties (burgers).
Grill patties over medium coals or over medium heat in non-stick skillet for 5 minutes. Turn over with pancake turner and cook 5 more minutes or until no longer pink inside and juices run clear.
Sprinkle each patty with shredded cheese. Place patties on buns.
* To chop pepperoni: use a clean pair of scissors to cut pepperoni into small pieces.
