SWEET MANDARIN RICE

"A perfect complement for pork and poultry. The simple elegance of rice is enhanced with the flavors of mandarin oranges, raisins, almonds and honey butter."

3/4 cup uncooked converted rice (2 1/4 cups cooked)
1/3 cup Land O Lakes Unsalted (Sweet) Butter
2 tbsp. honey
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

In 2.quart saucepan cook rice according to pkg. directions; drain. Set aside.

In same saucepan melt butter. Stir in rice, honey, raisins and nutmeg. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through (3 to 5 mmutes).

Gently fold in oranges and almonds. Let stand 1 minute to heat through.

Yield: 6 (/2 cup) servings. 6 mg. sodium /serving (sodium content does not include added salt in cooking the pasta or rice)
