LEMON BROCCOLI ALMONDINE

3/4 pound fresh broccoli, trimmed, cut into spears
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup Land O Lakes butter
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel

In 2-quart saucepan place broccoli and water, bring to a full boil. Cover; cook over medium heat until broccoli is crisply tender (8 to 10 minutes). Drain.

Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan melt butter. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through (2 to 3 minutes).

TO SERVE:
Spoon butter sauce over warm broccoli spears.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In 2-quart casserole combine broccoli and water with flowerets toward the center. Cover; microwave on High, turning 1/2 turn after half the time, until broccoli is crisply tender (5 to 7 minutes). Let stand 2 minutes. Meanwhile, in small bowl melt butter on High (50 to 60 seconds). Stir in all remaining ingredients. Microwave on High until heated through (1 to 1 1/2 minutes). Serve as directed above.

Makes 4 servings (1/3 cup sauce)
