BARBECUED BEEF SANDWICHES
2 tbsp brown sugar 1/4 tsp dry mustard 1 garlic clove, minced (or 1/8 tsp garlic powder) dash pepper 1 1/2 cups catsup 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp chopped onion 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tbsp worchestershire sauce 3 cups thinly sliced cooked beef, cut into strips 6 sandwich buns split (for serving)
In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except beef and sandwich buns; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in beef; cover and simmer an additional 15 minutes.
Spoon about 1/2 cup mixture onto each bun.
Makes 6 sandwiches
