DO NOTHING CAKE (PINEAPPLE GOODY CAKE)FOR THE CAKE:2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
FOR THE TOPPING:1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 (5 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut
TO MAKE THE CAKE:Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly greast a 13x9-inch baking pan.
Put all ingredients for the cake in large bowl and mix with spoon (not mixer). Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until center is done.
TO MAKE THE TOPPING:Combine butter, sugar, and milk in small pan. Cook 5 minutes. Add nuts and coconut.
Spoon topping on cake while hot.
