DESSERT PIZZA PIE
1 (11 oz) pkg pastry mix/pie crust mix 2 cans (16 oz each) sliced peaches, well drained 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed 1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans 1/4 tsp each cinnamon and nutmeg Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, optional (for serving)
Prepare pastry mix as directed on package. Reserve 1/4 of the pastry. Put in a small bowl.
Roll remaining pastry into a 12 inch circle. Ease into 12 inch pizza pan. Arrange drained peaches evenly over pastry.
With pastry blender, fork or hands, mix reserved pastry, brown sugar, nuts, cinnamon and nutmeg until crumbly. Sprinkle over peaches.
Bake at 425 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes or until pastry is browned.
Serve warm or cool, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream, if used.
