ASIAN GRILLED TUNA

4 (1-inch) tuna steaks
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
3 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
2-3 green onions, sliced into rings

Place the tuna in a single layer in a glass baking dish.

In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, sherry, sesame oil, sugar and ginger, stir well and pour over the fish. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning once.

Preheat grill or broiler. (If cooking in a broiler spray the rack with cooking spray.)

Drain and reserve the marinade from the fish, place the fish on the grill or 4-6 inches from direct heat under the broiler and cook for about 3-5 minutes per side or until reaches desired degree of doneness, basting occasionally. (Discard remaining marinade.)

Serve immediately, garnished with green onions.

Makes 4 servings
