LITTLE JACK HORNER PIES"All Ready Pie Crusts make it so to bake up these hand-held pies. They’re similar to those sold in fast food restaurants."
1 (15-oz.) pkg. Pillsbury All Ready Pie Crusts
2/3 cup plum, strawberry, or peach preserves
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Allow pouches to stand at room temperature for 13 to 20 minutes. Remove crusts from pouches; unfold. Peel off plastic sheets; press out fold lines.
Cut each pie crust into 5 rounds with 4-inch cookie cutter; spoon about 1 tablespoon preserve onto half of each pie crust round. Fold pie crust over filling; press edges with fork to seal.
In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pies.* Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes until light golden brown.
VARIATION:*PIE CRUST COOKIES:To make pie crust cookies from trimmings, cut into shapes; sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees F for 5 to 8 minutes until light golden brown.
Makes 10 pies
