FRUIT CRISP
20 Nilla Vanilla Wafers, finely rolled (about 3/4 cup crumbs) 2 tablespoons light brown sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 cup margarine, softened 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 2 cans (29-ounces each) sliced peaches, drained (or 1 quart blueberries, or 1 quart sliced pears)
Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Using a pastry blender or fork, blend in margarine; stir in walnuts.
Arrange fruit in a greased 8x 8-inch pan. Spoon crumb mixture over fruit.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
