SUPER-CHUNK BROWNIES6 squares (1 ounce each) semi-sweet chocolate 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 eggs 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup dried cherries or cranberries 1/2 cup large semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Melt chocolate squares and butter in top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl; set aside. Beat eggs and sugar in a second large bowl until blended, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in chocolate mixture and vanilla until blended. Beat in flour mixture. Reserve 2 tablespoons nuts. Add remaining nuts, dried cherries and chocolate chips to batter. Scrape into pan. Sprinkle reserved nuts over top.
