PRIZE-WINNING INDIAN FRY BREAD

3 cups flour
1/4 cup instant non-fat dry milk powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons hot water
Oil (for deep-frying)

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except oil. Knead dough 6 to 8 minutes.

Form into about 15 sections. Carefully stretch each section to desired thickness.

Heat oil in large, deep skillet. Fry each bread until browned on 1 side, then turn to brown other side. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Top with sweet or meat.
