EASY GREEN-ONION BREAD

"Refrigerated biscuits, skillet-baked with butter and bits of green onion - in 20 minutes."

4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon sugar
I large green onion, minced
2 packages (7.5-ounces each) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

In 10-inch skillet over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine; remove from heat. Into melted butter, evenly sprinkle sugar and half of green onion.

Carefully, with hands, pat biscuits into skillet, overlapping biscuits slightly; then sprinkle with remaining green onion.

Cover skillet; over medium heat, cook biscuits 5 minutes or until underside is lightly browned. With pancake turner, carefully turn bread and add remaining butter or margarine. Cover and cook bread 5 minutes longer or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Serve bread warm.

Makes 8 accompaniment servings
