BBQ BOURBON BABY BACK RIBS

1 cup bourbon
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. lemon zest, minced
1/2 cup espresso
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 to 5 dashes hot sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
1 clove minced garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp. molasses
salt and pepper to taste
2 racks baby back ribs

Reduce bourbon in a small saucepan by 50 percent. Remove from heat and cool.

In a large saucepan, heat oil, add onions and spices. Cook until soft. Add garlic and lemon and cook for 1 minute.

Add the rest of the ingredients (except ribs) and simmer for 5 minutes. Puree in blender.

Grill ribs on charcoal and baste often with sauce until done.

Serve with sauce on the side.
