BBQ BOURBON BABY BACK RIBS
1 cup bourbon 1 small onion, chopped 1 tsp. red pepper flakes 1 tsp. lemon zest, minced 1/2 cup espresso 1/4 cup cider vinegar 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 4 to 5 dashes hot sauce 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning 1 clove minced garlic, minced 1 cup ketchup 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/4 cup lemon juice 2 tbsp. molasses salt and pepper to taste 2 racks baby back ribs
Reduce bourbon in a small saucepan by 50 percent. Remove from heat and cool.
In a large saucepan, heat oil, add onions and spices. Cook until soft. Add garlic and lemon and cook for 1 minute.
Add the rest of the ingredients (except ribs) and simmer for 5 minutes. Puree in blender.
Grill ribs on charcoal and baste often with sauce until done.
Serve with sauce on the side.
