SPAGHETTI IN ONE POT1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon sweet basil
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti, broken into fourths, uncooked
3 cups tomato juice
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)
1 cup (4 ounces) cubed Cheddar cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Combine ground beef, onion, and garlic in a 2-quart saucepan; cook until meat is browned and onion is tender; drain.
Add salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and mustard; stir.
Add spaghetti, tomato juice, tomato sauce, and sugar. Cook 15 minutes or until spaghetti is tender, stirring occasionally.
Add mushrooms, if desired, and Cheddar cheese; stir.
Serve topped with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
