QUICK HUNGARIAN GOULASH

"The Pasta cooks in the skillet with the other ingredients."

1 tablespoon oil
1 pound boneless beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups water
2 cups canned diced tomatoes, undrained*
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
3 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups rotini (spiral) pasta, uncooked

Heat oil in 12-inch skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef strips; cook and stir 3 to 5 minutes or until browned.

Add all remaining ingredients except rotini; mix well. Bring to a boil. Add rotini. Reduce heat to medium; cook uncovered 10 to 15 minutes or until rotini is tender, stirring occasionally.

*One (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes, cut up, can be substituted for diced tomatoes.

Makes 4 servings (1 1/4 cups each)
