TOMATO BASE MARINADE

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon basil (or oregano)*
1/4 teaspoon onion salt
Garlic powder (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)

Combine ingredients together well.

Use as a marinade for beef, lamb, or chicken.

*Oregano makes for an Italian flavor, while basil is traditional in flavor.

Makes about 1 cup
