TURKEY FOCACCIA SANDWICHES
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough (or frozen bread dough, thawed) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 cup prepared pesto sauce 1 pound thinly sliced deli turkey breast 1 medium tomato, sliced 4 slices Vidalia onion or other mild sweet onion 4 slices smoked or regular provolone cheese
Unroll pizza dough and place on baking sheet coated with no-stick cooking spray. Pat into 10x12-inch rectangle. Use knuckles to dimple surface. Lightly brush with olive oil. Sprinkle rosemary and thyme over surface.
Bake in 400 degree F oven for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly.
Cut into 8 pieces. Spread prepared pesto sauce on one side of each warm piece. Layer turkey, tomato, onion and cheese over pesto sauce on four pieces of focaccia. Place remaining focaccia, pesto-side down, on top and serve.
*If desired, one loaf of thawed frozen bread dough can be shaped and baked instead refrigerated pizza dough.
