Hi Lyn! I think I cut this recipe out of Canadian Living Magazine but have not tried it yet.
Holiday Nanaimo Bars
Base:
3 Squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted 1/2 cup Butter, softened 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 2 cups graham wafer crumbs 1 cup Baker's Angel Flake Coconut 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Filling:
2 tbsp. Bird's Custard Powder 3 tbsp. milk 1/4 cup butter, softened 2 cups icing sugar, sifted
Icing:
5 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet chocolate, chopped 1 tbsp. butter
Base: In saucepan, combine chocolate, butter, sugar, vanilla & egg. Remove from heat. Add crumbs, coconut & nuts. Press into 9" (2.5L) square pan. Chill
Filling: Using electric mixer, beat together all ingredients. Spread over base and chill.
Icing: Melt chocolate with butter & spread over filling. Chill
