Thank You: How to Estimate Food Quantities

Misc.
I know that this is a slightly different usage of this website than is the norm, but if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to make suggestions.
My son is being married in Las Vegas (a destination wedding for everyone and a city to which I've never been...read "confused/panic"). There will be no rehearsal dinner for the 50+ guests who have RSVP'd, so my husband and I are planning to host a "Meet 'n' Greet" because neither side of the wedding knows one another. Since we are semi-retired, I am trying to choose options for the 1:30-3:30 p.m. event from an hotel menu.
Therefore, I am using this website to estimate what I need for people to eat while they, "for better or worse" get to know one another in two hours or less...is this the making of a Mel Brooks movie or what?!
Anyway, thanks for the info.
