I have made this a lot and it is very good. Unusual but one of our favorties. The recipe originally came from Cooking Light but I don't remember when.
Black Bean Chili Pizza serves 8 15 oz. can tomatoes in juice, diced 4 oz. can chopped green chilies 1/2 teaspoon cumin pinch cayenne 15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained 8 ounce Mozzarella cheese Fast Pizza Dough
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. In colander set over bowl, empty chiles and tomatoes. While dough is rising, put juices in small saucepan. Add cumin and cayenne. Bring to boil, reduce to 1/4 cup. Let cool. After dough has risen 15 minutes turn onto floured surface, roll to circle, place in oiled pan. Scrape sauce over crust, sprinkle on chiles, tomatoes, beans. Bake 12 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle on cheese, return to oven. Bake until golden and cheese melts, about 6 to 8 minutes. Fast Pizza Dough 1 1/4 cups hot water 1 package quick-rise active dry yeast 1 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons toasted wheat germ 3 cups flour
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Pour water into medium bowl, sprinkle in yeast. Stir with whisk to dissolve quickly. Add salt and wheat germ, whisk again. Add 3 cups flour. With wooden spoon stir until dough forms mass. Knead in bowl, sprinkling in extra flour until smooth, about 3 minutes. Set bowl in pie pan. Pour 2 cups hot water into pan. Cover with lightly oiled wax paper. Let rise 15 minutes. Turn onto floured bowl. Roll into shape.
