Light applesauce spice cake:
Applesauce, molasses, and spices create a moist, outstanding cake. Serve as a snack or dessert.
1 1/2 cups applesauce 1/2 cup molasses 1/3 cup oil 6 tbsp. sugar
Combine the above well in a bowl.
3 eggs
Add to above and beat well.
2 1/4 tsp. ginger 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
Add to above and mix just until blended. Pour into pan and bake approx. 20-25 minutes or until tester comes out dry.
