You can serve luscious low fat shakes--just take advantage of tropical fruits. They have a creamy texture that would lead you to believe they're high in fat, but they aren't at all. What's more, they're loaded with fiber and brimming with vitamins A and C.
4 cups sliced strawberries 2 large bananas, sliced 1 cup orange juice 1 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt 8 ice cubes
In a blender, combine 2 cups strawberries, half of the bananas, 1/2 cup juice, 1/2 cup yogurt and 4 ice cubes. Puree until thick and smooth.
Repeat with the remaining 2 cups strawberries, bananas, 1/2 cup juice, 1/2 cup yogurt and 4 ice cubes.
85 calories per serving. Serves 8 .5 g. fat: 1 mg. cholesterol, 19 mg. sodium.
