I recently purchased some hard red spring wheat kernels from a health food store. I used them to make muesli, but I was not crazy about it. I had to purchase about 5 pounds, I believe, as that was the smallest size of packaging. I wish I could grind it or something and use it to make bread, or as a flour. I have found recipes for the soft wheat kernels, but none for the hard ones. One recipe I used required soaking and cooking the kernels and this took all day, at which time I still found them a bit rubbery. Any idea or suggetions? I'm also worried about runing my blender by using it to try and grind the wheat.
This is organic wheat with no preservatives or additives. I like to eat healthy and to try new things.
