This sounds great, will try soon. I use Watkins onion soup mix in my meatloaf. I use 3 tbsp to equal 1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup mix in with 1 1/2 lbs lean hamb, 1 egg, a 1/2 c or so of dry bread crumbs or crushed saltines. I pour in 1/2 can of tomato sauce, mix altogether then shape and pour the rest of the sauce over the top. I also make my meatloaf in the microwave using a pan with slotted insert (something I think for steaming veg, etc) I mix my meatloaf in the bottom pan put the shaped meatloaf in the slotted pan and rinse the bottom, then pour the rest of sauce overtop, cover and microwave in 5 min intervals (turning every 5 min) for approximately 20 min. then let set. If your meat is very lean you may need to add some water to the bottom solid pan to keep the pan from burning. This creates a wonderful grease free meatloaf even my picky teenager will eat.
