Leigh Ann, I have raised 2 sons (not to mention the 10 or 12 that just hung out at our house all the time (ha ha). and i have a very quick, good and VERY easy recipe which my family loves. I really don't even have a name for it but here it is
1 pkg of stew meat (as large or small as you think your family will eat) 1-2 large family size of mushroom soup (again, you can adjust to your family size i usually use 2 cans) 1 large onion chopped 1 can mushrooms (optional) 1-2 pkgs of flat wide noodles
take your stew meat, onion, mushrooms, and soup. put them in a slow cooker and set it on low and let them cook until meat is tender (I usually cook them most of the day, just keep an eye on them) there is no need to add water it will cook down
15-20 minutes before supper, boil your noodles.
put cooked noodles on plate, top with mushroom mixture, add a salad, french bread and you have a good supper that they will think you have slaved over for a couple of hours.
My family loves it and I love the ease of the meal also. it gets me in and out of the kitchen quick after a hard day at work.
let me know if your family likes it. I hope they do!!!
