Oatmeal Refrigerator Cookies

1c. shortening
1c. brn. sugar
1c. wht. sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2c flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3c. oatmeal
1/2c chopped nuts
mix in order given. I make 2 log rolls of dough wrap in wax paper and freeze. When ready to use cut 1/4 in. slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 350 degrees for 10 min. enjoy. My mother has made these for at least 30 years now. Now my family gets to enjoy them
