Sally Lunn Rolls (Brown and Serve)

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup warm milk
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup warm water (not hot)
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
5 to 6 cups flour

Sprinkle yeast over water stir; add warm milk, sugar, salt and butter.
Add beaten eggs to warm milk mixture.
Stir in 3 cups flour. Beat with mixer for 2 minutes.
Gradually stir in remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Cover and let rise.
When doubled in bulk, stir down.
Spoon into 24 greased muffin cups; let rise.
Bake at 250 degrees for 25 minutes.
At this point you can remove the rolls from the muffin cups; cool and freeze.
To serve: Thaw; place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes.
