Thanx page for nice comments. Grated carrots are "going steady" with fried fish, fish gratins etc in our house. I grate raw carrots into very thin strips(my mothe likes them a little coarse) on my food prosessor. I add a dressing of lemon juice, sugar and a little water, and let stay for half an hour. Often I add grated , green apples and/or a fistful of dried raisins or slivers of prunes. They should soak in the dressing to. Kids here use to like it. Husbands too. Have a nice day :-)
