YUP---I wondered too ! when my hubby brought it home, but he slow smoked it on his homemade smoker (his little hobby), after I marinated it in Best Foods italian salad dressing for about an hour..... It was a smashing hit... will definitaly let (encourage) him do fix it again. We are fairly easy to please & my "boys" are really grown; we still have a 18 &21 yr.old at home. Hard to describe the taste----a bit stronger than a very mild fish; texture closest to tuna maybe. We just squeezed lemon on it & it really was delish! Sometimes you just have to expirament when you find a real CHEAPO at the store (we do have a kitty - just in case it was awful). Also, I know they serve it in restraunts & they wouldn't if it didn't sell !!!! ALSO no bones 'cause sharks just have cartalige (as my 18 yr. x-plained). : )----cali is my screen nickname pronounced the same as your mom's : )
