I too grew up in a small town (in NY tho, not Fla) so i can relate to the "everyone knowing your business". In retrospect, especially considering how uninvolved neighbors are these days, it was a great way to grow up! You didnt just worry about doing the wrong thing cus your mom might find out - heck, anyone who saw you do it already called mom!! I think kids these days definately could use a few more people keeping an eye out for them.

We are living in the midst of a construction zone, but thank heavens I FINALLY get to sleep in my own bed tonite (we've been sleeping in the guest room cus the carpet for our room ended up taking way longer to get delivered)!!!!!! We moved to south Ft. Lauderdale, a small enclave that so far has overwhelmed with with their old fashioned friendliness!!

Thank you for your concern and I will keep you posted on the progress we are making (I think I was Bob Villa in my past life -- nothing else explains this need I have to REBUILD wherever we move)(g).

Take care :)
Julie
