Julie, I just read my post and I posted my 2 additions on the right hand side of the message board so it became garbled. Here is the recipe with my additions. I hope that my family as well as your family enjoys this recipe.
SOUTHWESTERN CHICKEN
2 cans (15 1/4 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained 1 can (15 oz.) black beans, drained and rinsed 1 jar (16 oz.) chunky salsa, divided 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese ***I added 1/2 cup chopped green onions and 1 T. minced garlic
Combine the corn, black beans, and 1/2 cup of salsa in a slow cooker. Top with chicken; pour the remaining salsa over the chicken. I also put the green onions and garlic on top of the chicken, too.
