Hi every one, This is a family favourite of ours which we,re having tonight its really nice with a creamy mustard flavour.Here,s the recipe: CHICKEN STROGANOFF
oil for frying 1 large onion chopped 2 cloves garlic crushed 2 tsp mustard seeds(brown) 500g chicken fillets cut into strips 250g button mushrooms,sliced 2 Tbls wholegrain mustard 1 tsp mustard powder 2 Tbls brandy 1/2 cup chicken stock 1/3 cup cream salt and ground pepper Serves 4 so double up if needed
Saute onion and garlic gently in heated oil till glossy.Add mustard seeds and cook till the y begin to pop!,then add chicken and toss to sear.Add mushrooms and stirfry for 1 min.Stir in wholegrain mustard,mustard powder and brandy.Add stock and simmer for 4-5 mins.Add cream and heat through(don,t boil).Season to taste.I,ll serve it tonight with buttered noodles and steamed mangetout.
