I really appreciate all your kind words. I just try and make very diverse foods during the week so I don't get bored and either does my husband. I hope my son eventually appreciates it all.
Joel, a couple of questions...
1) I used to live in the NYC area. Where do you live? 2) You sound like you put a lot of work into your weekly eats too, where do you get your inspiration?
My answer to #2: I go to specific books each week. I decided since I have so many cookbooks (around 170 at the moment) that I should use them all. So I use specific ones each week (different ones each week), see what recipes go with what I have in the house, write down what I need and then make the shopping lis and menus at the same time. I do it every Thursday morning. That way we can go shopping Friday night. I like to cook different things, different ethnic foods, every day. Tonight is chinese style.
Anyway, thank you all for your kind words. It keeps me going, you know.
Take care. Love, RisaG |
