Hi every one,
Here in S.Africa we use coka cola alot in marinades as mentioned before it acts as a tenderiser.Here is a chicken dish to try,

COLA CHICKEN
************
2 lbs chicken portions
2 cups cola
salt and pepper to taste
I Tbls golden syrup
1 Tbls soy sauce

Place chicken in a large sauce pan,add cola and season well and gently simmer
til tender.Add syrup and soy sauce and toss til caramilised.

This is nice with lots of fluffy rice to mop up the sauce
