I have been trying to get my kids into the kitchen more often. Here is what we made last night. The beef dish was adapted from an old crockpot recipe I found somewhere.

Beef and Ravioli

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound lean ground beef 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1 small onion (about 1/2 cup) -- chopped 3 tablespoons flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning 1 cup beef broth 1 (10oz) pkg frozen peas -- thawed 2 (15oz)cans beef or cheese ravioli 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Brown beef with onions and garlic. Drain well and return to skillet. Sprinkle with with flour, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Mix well. Add broth and cook and stir until thickened, about 3 min. Add peas and ravioli with sauce. Toss to combine, being careful to keep raviolis intact. Place mixture in a lightly greased casserole and sprinkle with Parmesan. Cook, covered, at 350 degrees for 30-45 min or until heated through.

Garlic Rolls

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- ***** NONE *****
Garlic Rolls 1/4 c. butter, melted 1 T. dried parsley 1 1/2 t. garlic powder 1/4 t. garlic salt 1 loaf frozen white bread, thawed Combine all ingredients except bread. Cut dough into 1 " pieces and coat each piece with butter mixture. Layer in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 350 for 30 min. It is wonderful to taste and smell!
