Hi Sylvia,

Here is what you are looking for, it is called Raisin Sauce and it is served over ham. I first tasted it at a buffet in the Panhandle and was floored. Finally after much persuasion, the chef let me know how it was made. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

Raisin Sauce

1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbl. cornstarch
2 tbl. vinegar
2 tbl. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. lemon peel
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup raisins

Mix the brown sugar, dry mustard and cornstarch. Put in a saucepan and slowly add the vinegar. Stir, Add the lemon juice, peel, water and raisins. Stir over low heat until it thickens.
