I have an old recipe my grandmother received from a church-member came directly from Italy and this recipe (although I have lost it) also had pork (pork fatback) in it. I remember how much I loved this sauce as a child and I wanted to thank you for submitting the recipe. Although it is probably a little different, I cannot wait to try it out.
I have recently started gardening, and I plan to make your sauce with home grown tomatoes (although last year I had some gardening problems). Cooking has become a passion of mine, and gardening and growing fresh vegetables and herbs has become an extension of that.
