Yes, I have tried the Basmati rice but in Puerto Rico we almost always use a long grain brand called Cinta Azul. It is better than any other and it is perfect for paellas and for the rice machine. I am not sure if this rice is sold in Canada. Have a lot of fun with your family today. I will try to do the same. Clary called me already asking a few questions about several perniles which she is bakig for her party. Therefore, after the family reunion I will join the group and will probably cook my traditional late night chicken asopao. For the time being I am sending Resumes and relaxing. Until February the retirees will receive full pay. I hope that for that time I will find some kind of part time job to supplement my pension. On the other hand, the pension covers my expenses and mami's home care. That was my condition for not making waves and thanks God it was accepted.

Have fun tonight, your friend,

Gladys/PR
