Tonight I am having friends in for dinner. It's very hot but we will eat well.....

I'm making a salad Gladys posted with chickpeas and blackeyed peas, wild rice, green beans and a wonderful chicken breast recipe. The chicken is dipped in a mixture of breadcrumbs, romano cheese, pecans and a few spices. Then dipped in buttermilk and back into the breadcrumbs. It only has to cook about 40 minutes so the kitchen will not get too hot.

These are some people I attend a wine dinner with every month. We always have a great time at the dinners and are venturing out a little with our friendships and hope to start doing a dinner outside the restaurant at least once a month. We usually have anywhere from 7 to 16 at the restaurant but not this evening. I though it best to start small. It's a holiday weekend anyway and some are away.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday night cooking.
