I love the idea of using that with the fried chicken....I do the same thing with the bacon grease...I also use it in the cornbread as well as to grease the iron skillet to cook it in!! Honey....we must be related!!! That recipe was from the maid we had growing up, the Lawry's seasoned salt was a must....my husband and I were at a Christmas tree grower's convention in Georgia about 20 years ago...The hotel we stayed had a dinner for us and served the best fried chicken I had ever put into my mouth....I begged the waiter to go ask the cook (an older black woman) what kind of seasoning they used...he came back and said Lawry's seasoned salt and black pepper......I love lemon-pepper seasoning. Mc Cormick makes one, but there are others much cheaper and just as good.....Now everyone asks me what I use for my seasoning and that's that little "something extra" they can't figure out....always gets me compliments. Try it, I know you'll be pleased!!
