Hi Sue,

I decided to make the wreath after seeing at at an antique show in Atlanta and since then I have seen them at several shops around. The price they ask for (over $100.00) is absolutely ridiculous I think!

So, I went around to Goodwills and garage sales since August and started collecting all the vintage balls from the 60's (real cheap too, 50 cents-$1.00/box. I bought so many that I made one from my Mom also. I used the grapevine wreath...just sat down one evening while watching tv and started hot glueing away!!! It came out better than expected and so very colorful and vintage looking too!!

So go for it, you won't be disappointed!!

Merry Christmas!! Gina

P.S. If you do make it, store it after Christmas inside a plastic bag hanging on a peg and mark the bag with what is inside so no one squashes it accidently!!

One little important detail to the glueing of the balls, which is mighty important and will help you tremendously:

Glue balls on the outer rim and inner rim first and then fill in with smaller ones. Make it bulgy so that it "bubbles" out. You will see what I mean once it is finished!!

Also, I have seen wreaths that have little vintage santas, elves, snowmen, etc. glued on also, very pretty!! Center your prettiest one in the center and go from there.

Next year I am going to decorate the tree using vintage ornaments found at thrift stores!!
