Hi Monica,

It certainly is a relief to have found that darn recipe. I used so many eggs and butter, Lordy!!!

I tried one cake that had a 7 minute frosting that was icky sweet...it remined me of those Cuban birthday cakes my parents used to get me with the merengue topping, talk about repulsively sweet!!! I like a good buttercream frosting and yesterdays frosting comes as close as it will get. It is a wonderful yellow cake and the lemon curd filling really makes it. I love it!!! So much so, that it did not go to the office. No m'am, it stayed here!!!

I am so excited about driving to the mountains tomorrow...hope I get to enjoy the fireplace and a good nip in the air!! Tell you all about it when I get back!!Gina
