I had to laugh at THREE of them going at the same time - well, I have two now, but had rarely used the small one since it's almost too small.

You mentioned a Christmas vegetable dish of red cabbage & blueberries?

When we travel north for Christmas this year (first time we will have done that since moving to Florida 5 years ago)we will be responsible for one night's dinner, and I planned to do porkchop/mushroom/garlic/wine dish that I love, and I had thought of doing a red cabbage as a side dish - your addition of blueberries sounded intriguing. Would you please share it with us?

By the way, get a picture of me (now a true South Floridian) who no longer owns winter shoes nor winter jacket or coat - Sandals in the snow??

Guess I'm going to have to try and find something for the trip up there.

Gladys -- what will you do to make the turkey that lovely brown color? I would think that maybe towards the end you could remove the stoneware insert and put it for a short time under a broiler. Can you do that with the stoneware insert? I'm anxious to hear how your turkey comes out, as I have a small frozen one waiting for me to have enough time to cook it.

Thanks for all your ideas and comments - this is such a wonderful place to be!

Love, June
