DH (Luis) went to the recycling depot last weekend, and just as he arrived, a magazine store dropped off a mountain of magazines (new, but with covers ripped off) they had not sold. They are all European magazines (including some in French and Spanish, for our multi-lingual household). And a pile of magazines from the UK, with a ton of recipes, including the cabbage and blueberry one.

I made red cabbage in the slow cooker once, and it was good, but this one (although not specifically meant for the slow cooker) looked even more complex and delicious. And of course, anything that takes a long, slow cook is meant to be for your slow cooker. Red cabbage certainly fits that bill!

I can just see you picking your way through the snowdrifts in your sandals, holding on to your slow cooker insert for dear life!!

(but it is probably not as cold as you remember, except for that first frigid blast of air that hits you when you first arrive!)

Off to look for that recipe!

Cheers,

Carolyn!
